Express Discount Limited was incorporated on the 25th of November, 1992 as a private limited liability company and specialised financial institution. It was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria on the 22nd of July, 1993 to carry out the functions of a discount house and commenced full operations on the 23rd of July, 1993.

We have since then focused on exceeding our customer’s expectations, creating wealth for our shareholders, developing our people and identifying with noble endeavours that promote the general well-being of our society.
Despite the difficult business terrain in which we have had to operate, we have made modest gains and are encouraged by the successes recorded from our strategic initiatives.
Our ability to effectively apply information technology to business has once again been acknowledged in the Phillips Consulting Web-Jurist rankings in which our website was ranked second overall (most effective) in the non-bank category, the highest among discount houses in Nigeria.

Our website was launched in 1998 and has consistently been rated high among financial institutions in the country. Since then, the company had consistently improved its website and has become well known for its Express On-Line service (http://www.expresson-line.com), a website dedicated to providing information on Nigeria’s financial markets.
