Express Discount Limited’s site rated OVERALL Most EFFECTIVE AMONG NON-BANK FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Express Discount Limited (EDL) has once again received accolades for outstanding performance on the Phillips Consulting Limited's Web-Jurist ratings. The company's website (http://www.expressdiscountlimited.com) was rated the overall most effective site in the non-bank financial institutions category in the latest results released on Thursday November 23 2006.

In September 1998, EDL launched its website, becoming the first discount house in Nigeria to do so. The official launching of the site, which took place at the MUSON Centre, was performed by Dr. (Mrs.) Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke (O.O.N.), the Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The company’s website was rated the best at the inagural edition of the Web-Jurist ratings for non-banks in 2001 and has consistently been rated high among non-bank financial institutions' websites. The site was rated the second most effective in the non-bank financial instutitions category in 2004 and 2005.

In May 2002, Philips Consulting had this to say about the website of Express Discount Limited: “The site is clearly a content-driven information site and has become well known for this attribute in the local industry, this is indeed commendable.”

EDL's Express On-Line, a service dedicated to providing information on Nigeria's financial markets, has become an industry standard.
